Hey! Good news, I think I solved the problem. Try this:
In Outlook, click the "Contacts Search" button in the toolbar.
Change search scope drop-down to "All Folders" and search for the offending entry.
You should see your bug-a-boo in the "Suggested Contacts" section--at the top for me.
Double click the search result and delete the contact.
Done! Now, if somebody wants to explain how to locate all "Suggested Contacts" aside from the Contacts Search, that would be of interest to me. I would like to be able to groom or purge the entire set of contacts there.

OK, I answered that last question also.
Just do a "Contacts Search" in "Suggested Contacts" as the scope.
Then clear the search box and you will see all suggested contacts.
Edit or delete the ones that you don't want.
