"If that doesn’t work, $300 hard drive recovery is the next best option. Drive Savers would be the last option. If the drive hasn’t been submerged or physically damaged then the $300 folks are pretty good. I’ve used them before when Drive savers quoted me $1500 for the same thing.
If the platter needs to be removed and data accessed in a clean room then Drive Savers is the best option. That’s often not the case and you can get your data for a lot less."
