Toyota wiper blade replacement numbers
Irks me to no end that the only place I can buy replacement rubber for my windshield wipers is at the dealer. They also kept giving me the wrong driver side part.
Driver side: G600, 85214 YZZD5 TM
Passenger side: G475, 85214 YZZE4

To convert Pinnacle TV HD to PS3 compatible format
Used Adobe Media Encoder and used the following export settings:
- MPEG2
- HDTV 1080p 23.976 HQ
- MPEG2
- HDTV 1080p 23.976 HQ
Here goes everything....
Going to try setting up my Pinnacle PCTV 80e usb tv tuner for vista media center and clear QAM...I hope this restore file really is going to work...
Helpful links:
- Vista problems with Clear QAM
- Hack to get it working on Vista
- Great PC World article on the update required to make this work
To find the right registry key I had to search the registry for PCTV 80e. Did that and it popped up in the folder: USB28xxBGA

A thought that came to me...
Think about letting your super enthusiast users be your own entrepreneurs. Let them innovate on great ways to use your platform and then really build on their ideas; or just let your platform become it's own business. It'll be interesting to see if that's how Facebook evolves.

Drive recovery people in bay area
Everyone swears by these guys, and they're pretty close to the SF office:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/lazarus-data-recovery-san-francisco
There was a good thread on SF Ads a couple weeks ago with suggestions about data recovery tools and stuff.
You might want to search the archives for disk recover. There was a ton of good information.
Anyways, you can try this adapter which is recommended by an Adobe employee's blog called "Newer Technology USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter"

Key remote team take aways
For better collaboration:
- Figure out that culture's metaphors for teams
- Remind people they're on the same team, make team salient
- Treat people in "normative ways" to show part of a team in collectivist cultures
- Video game competitions across seas
- Localization of meeting notes
- Change status reporting to "team showing off events"

Fixed wireless problem with Samsung Wireless LAN Adapter
Couldn't get it to connect to my wireless WPA2 Personal network. Have a Samsung ln46b750. Had to do two things:
a) Make it publish its SSID
b) Change the WPA Algorithm from TKIP+AES to just AES.
Soooo annoying, but at least it works!

Microsoft Project fix
Got all my tasks bleeding over days. From here realized that I had set my default start time to 9am, but the work day started at 8am. Oy. The only way to fix the problem was to change the date format preference to include the time and then to manually go and edit the time in each field. Arg!

To fix mobo power light...
Looks like I need to rewire the 3 pin Berg connector to a 2 pin version. Probably want a crimper and the like. This would probably be a .1" spaced one and something I'd want to Radio Shack over a Fry's for something like this.
Ug. At least this website pointed me in the right direction.

Stupid JMicron error on startup, fixing sleep issues
Ended up disabling in BIOS the JMicron SATA ports on the EGA X58 motherboard that I wasn't using on board and the error went away. The error message had been:
"warning:have option rom can not be invoke" Nice English there...:)

Right here
573+150 (if go to SLI) +175 (if do an overclock) = 898
So need 900 Watt power to do both, or 750 if not doing SLI.

Offsite process take aways
Good
- Use of video camera to zoom in on writing on the board
- "Shift and Share" sessions to get cross pollination. Included sign up list, and two rotations.
- On Day 2 Design Team redid the grouping
- Everyone had to be there all three days (did hurt when people left)
- Used a number on the back of people's badges for random assignments
- Limited number of chairs to exactly the number of people supposed to be there. Expectation set that all seats were to be filled.
- Handheld mics for recap sessions. Should have had 3 mics instead of two.
- Used paper stuck to large magnetic sheets for transferring information from the white board to the results area.
- Turned back to the team and asked them what sessions are needed in the afternoon, but seeded with suggestions.
- At the right times asking for volunteers, at other times assigning people ahead of time
- Fines to charity for people caught using cell phones/laptops
- Name tags all three days
- Tradeshow format for sharing info (1 plenary, smaller audience ask questions and shift)
- Using 3 people to generate boring definitions and present them
- IKEA example about not knowing what it is until you're done.
Could have been better
- Should have used wireless lavaliere mics
- Used better LCD screens with HDTV so slides were readable
- Started breakfast half an hour earlier than start time. Should have publicized real start time and stuck to it?
- Eating in shifts without enough food meant those that played by the rules didn't have enough to eat.
- Squares listing all the previously generated requirements were taped to each other (hard to remove)
- Paper attached to magnetic sheets involved permanent marker, hard to adjust. Ended up being lots of small writing with bad handwriting.
- Should have said the purpose of the current activity for things that will not change.
- Nametags should always use black bold print
- Should have directed people to find terms that they know something about, and then grab other folks.
- IKEA example also goes better when you know where it's going
- Reference material never seemed to make it into the sessions (Master Feature list, etc.)
- Use cases weren't locked down enough for a real basis of conversation. Too dense. Should have been simplified ahead of time.
