Is to create an admin account, make sure to assign it a password, and then go to the Control Panel, Administrative Options, open sercvices panel, click on open something.exe and then assign the login panel to login using that new local account and embed the password.

Man, this killed me for many an hour. For installing CDM+ on a Compaq Presario SR1550NX the tech support guy told me to:
- go to c:\program files\CDM+ Pro\openbase\resources\
- copy the file called "localhost"
- go to c:\openbase\config\
- paste in "localhost"
- Open localhost using notepad
- Enter in IP address from ipconfig
- Stop all openbase related processes
- Go back to CDM+, go to File->Database Utilities and hit Refresh
