The key was going into my user folder, then going to Library and clearing stuff out of:
- ~/Library (Aatrix)
- ~/Library/Application Support (Suran)
- ~/Library/LaunchAgents
- ~/Library/Preferences (Aatrix)
- ~/Library/PreferencePanes
- ~/Library/StartupItems
